transparent window shades
Transparent shades associate sunlight control with transparency. In other words, besides shading and sun and glare protection, they don't block views.
And they are also an effective solution in terms of energy savings, namely the exterior transparent shades.

Fabrics
Most transparent shades are woven from PVC coated polyester non-stretch yarn, and are resistant to fire, fade and mildew.
Openness
Transparent shades may provide different light blocking percentages. In other words, the openness of the shades may vary: 20% openness (80% light blocking) and 10% openness (90% light blocking) are very common.
Colors
Manufacturers present different colors and dimensions for transparent shades. Lighter colors are more effective in reducing heat gains.
Daytime and nighttime privacy
Transparent shades only provide daytime privacy. At night you should either use a curtain or another opaque shade (or a bright outdoor light near the window).
Exterior transparent shades and wind loads
Transparent exterior shades aren’t designed to support high wind loads. They should be retracted under heavy windy conditions.
