oil furnace professional servicing
Have your oil furnace professionally tuned-up and serviced every year. You will be paid by energy savings.
Oil furnaces don’t burn as cleanly as gas ones, and require specific maintenance service of the blower, chimney and controls…
Tests and servicing should involve...
- the monoxide carbon levels;
- the furnace draft and efficiency;
- the cracks and holes, soot, rust and corrosion;
- the flame sensor;
- the oil-pump pressure.
Furnace Cleaning and lubrication Servicing
Clogging or inadequate blower lubrication is a common source of problems. The electrodes and blast tube should be cleaned, as well as the stack control.
Tuning-up and air leaks servicing
Electrodes should also be cleaned and adjusted. The shutter and the spinner should be tuned-up, and any oil leaks should be fixed and oil-filters replaced. Thermostat settings should also be checked.
Chimney and venting oil furnace Servicing
Chimney and venting maintenance of oil furnaces is similar to those of gas furnaces. See: Professional Gas Furnace Maintenance
