The more powerful garden shredders turn large bits of wood - branches of trees and other woody material - into small bits. The best models are very efficient, and do not require significant help from the user.

They may struggle a little bit on a too leafy stuff, and shouldn't be fed too fast, but just that. Pay attention not to introduce small stones or soil in these machines. They work at a very high speed, and even a small amount of soil acts like an abrasive, blunting their blades.
