Solar Power, Wind and Biomass
Incentives in New Jersey
New Jersey's Clean Energy Program for Homes
New Jersey’s Energy Program
supports the implementation of renewable energy technologies -
namely the solar one - allowing incentives that can save you up to 70% off the
cost of installing a system in your home… It’s
undoubtedly the most advantageous rebate system in the nation.
Limitation
of New Jerseys Clean Energy Program
The problem with New
Jersey’s Energy Program is that it is currently oversubscribed.
Solar rebate applications for
home projects of less than 10 kW and greater than 10
kW are now being held in queue…
How much are the Solar Power
incentives in New Jersey?
Incentives depend on the
size of the system installed in your home. In the case of panel solar and
solar energy systems for residential uses the incentives are
$3,80/watt up to 10,000 watts. The value of the incentives
diminishes for bigger systems:
$2.75/watt from 10,001 to 40,000 watts
$2.50/watt from 40,001 to 100,000 watts
$2.25/watt from 100,001 to 500,000 watts
$2.00/watt from 500,001 to 700,000 watts
What types of solar technologies
are eligible?
The program funds
small wind equipments, biomass
equipments and solar technologies for home and other uses. But,
in the case of solar panels-systems,
only solar electricity / PV
photovoltaic systems are supported.
New Jersey's Clean Energy Program
does not provide financial incentives for
Solar Hot Water systems.
