sunroom manufacturers

Sunroom manufacturers, even the best, do not care much about energy-efficiency. They want to sell and, as a rule, they undervalue the negative impacts of their products in terms of cooling and heating needs of the sunroom and the house, or in terms of environment (the wide use of vinyl frames is a good example of that).

Selecting a contractor

Prefer a company that makes a quality product and stands behind it. Larger and well known sunroom manufacturers like Four Seasons Sunrooms, Solar Innovations, Artistic Enclosures, Gorell, or Patio Enclosures have good quality products. But they also have low-quality lines, with poor energy-efficiency.

Installers

Many manufacturers are associated with builders and installers, that will offer different sunroom plans to choose from. Ask them questions about energy-efficiency and the heating and cooling implications of their products, taking into account the home's insulation levels, sun exposure or surrounding landscape... Find a builder/installer who knows what he is doing in terms of energy-efficiency. Most don't.

Prefer products and manufacturers offering larger warranties for their sunrooms, conservatories and patio enclosures. The best manufacturers offer warranties of 10-20 years to the different components of their products...
