Honeywell, the world’s leading thermostat manufacturer, is the best known company.

Honeywell models are a reference, but there are other good manufacturers, some of them also very well know, and with excellent products: Lux, White-Rodgers, Braeburn, Trane, RobertShaw, Carrier, Hunter, Totaline, Aube (a Honeywell company), etc.

Qualified models

Choose a qualified thermostat – an Energy Star qualified programmable thermostat (USA, Canada…). They offer quality and include the most essential features.

Features

Warranties

Manufacturers like Honeywell offer 5 year warranties for programmable thermostats installed by qualified professionals... But many manufacturers only offer one year limited warranty - a fact that may help you to choose the manufacturer and the thermostat model.
